Community Energy Services Manager, Holland Board of Public Works
Anne is working on developing Michigan’s first On-Bill Loan Program for energy improvements.
Anne Saliers was named Community Energy Services Manager in 2014 after joining Holland Board of Public Works (HBPW) in 2011 as Conservation Programs Manager. She leads the design, delivery and management of HBPW’s energy optimization and community outreach programs, and facilitates the steering committees implementing Holland’s long-range Community Energy Plan and Georgetown University Energy Prize initiatives. For the past year and a half, Anne has been working on the development of Michigan’s first On-Bill Loan Program scheduled to launch in late summer 2016.
Prior to joining HBPW, Anne was Innovation Director at The Right Place Inc., the Grand Rapids, MI-based economic development agency, where she provided product commercialization guidance to entrepreneurs and innovation teams following more than 20 years in the office furniture industry. After co-chairing the Energy & Atmosphere work group during the development of the office furniture sustainability standard, she chaired the joint committee governing this ANSI standard until 2015.
Anne received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Iowa State University and her Masters of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Connecticut. She earned certification from the American Public Power Association in Energy Efficiency Management in 2012.
Anne currently serves as a cabinet member to the Holland-Hope College Sustainability Institute, board member for Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity and steering committee member for Michigan’s “Governor’s Energy Excellence Awards.” She has also recently served as staff liaison to the Holland Community Sustainability Committee and as board member for the West Michigan Environmental Action Council.
