2020 GLREA 'Year End - Year Begin' Annual Meeting

The Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association (GLREA) will be holding its 2020 'Year End - Year Begin' Annual Meeting on Saturday, December 5, 2020.  The Meeting will begin at 10:00 am and run to 2:30 pm with a 30 minute break at 12:00 noon. 

This will be an on-line meeting because of concerns over COVID-19.  Once you register the Zoom link will be sent to you as we get closer to December 5th. 

This is going to be a very interesting Meeting!  Our overall theme will be 'The Future of Renewable Energy in Michigan.' We will have a Panel of Speakers sharing their thoughts about the future of renewable energy given all the changes at the federal, state and at the MI Public Service Commission. 

And we are having two very special guests joining us: Dan Scripps, the Chairman of the MI Public Service Commission and Jigar Shah, President and Co-Founder of Generate Capital, Founder of SunEdison, author of Creating Climate Wealth - Unlocking the Impact Economy and co-host of The Energy Gang, a very informative podcast on all things renewable energy.

Dan Scripps will be discussing the work and responsibilities of the Public Service Commission and how this impacts the expansion of renewable energy in Michigan, and Jigar Shah will be talking about national trends in the United States and around the world. After initial presentations by our special guests, attendees will be able to ask questions. 

We will also talk about the work that GLREA accomplished in 2020 and our plans for next year.  And we will be giving out the GLREA '2020 Leadership Award' and '2020 Exemplary Project Award.'
