2021 GLREA Solar Home Tour
Every year GLREA organizes a Solar Home Tour so any interested person can come and see a house or business with a solar system and learn about the benefits of solar of saving money on high utility energy costs and protecting the environment.
GLREA does this Solar Home Tour in partnership with the American Solar Energy Society (ASES).
Because of COVID-19, our Solar Home Tour in 2020 was done on Zoom with different presentations showing pictures and video footage and even a live streaming of a home. We expect that our 2021 Solar Home Tour will also be done on Zoom. The date is October 2, 2021 starting at 10:00 am.
The purpose of this Tour is that it provides an opportunity for people to learn about solar by talking to the owner or the contractor that installed the solar system while looking at the system. Our goal is to help homeowners and business understand how solar (and energy efficiency measures) can save money and help prevent climate change.
